WarSounds is a very simple app, but nonetheless, a solid time waster. The app is just a screen of guns and vehicles (shown below), and tapping on an item plays a sound of the gun being shot (or a helicopter flying, or a rocket exploding, etc). Having never fired any of these guns before, I cannot attest to the realism claimed in the title, but each sound is unique and sounds about right based on my experience with guns in movies and on TV. The app does exactly what it promises, and while I don’t think there is a need for everyone to go and download it, if for whatever reason you need a bunch of gun sounds, this is the app for you. The only thing that seems to be missing is an “auto-fire.” Many of the guns are traditionally known as being machine guns, but tapping on an item only plays the sound of one bullet. It would be nice to be able to hold down a gun and hear what automatic fire sounds like. Overall, if you’re feeling particularly bored, or are trying to convince your friend that an AK47 sounds different than a P90, give WarSounds a shot.
